- Go to Recurring invoices and create a new recurring invoice schedule. Choose the customer, lines, frequency and next invoice date.
- Choose Draft to review each invoice first. It receives its final number only when you finalise it, so deleting a draft does not create a gap.
- Choose Send automatically to finalise the invoice immediately and send it to your customer through the selected channel.
- Save. Invoice now runs the same check for this recurring invoice schedule. This is only possible if the next invoice date is today or earlier, never in advance and never twice for the same period. You must confirm first when automatic sending is enabled.
- Pause a recurring invoice schedule if you temporarily do not want to create invoices. Paused schedules are skipped by the daily check.
- On Free, with an expired manually managed plan, or when a payment has been failing for more than 7 days, recurring invoice schedules are paused automatically. You receive a notification and an email.
- Once your plan or payment is restored, automatically paused schedules resume from the current period. Missed periods are not invoiced retrospectively.
