Per m², per room or per hour?
For pricing per m², measure walls and ceilings, deduct windows and doors, then multiply by your rate. A room price suits small jobs such as a toilet or storage room where measuring would take disproportionate time. Hourly pricing mainly suits repairs and preparation whose duration is hard to estimate.
Disputes arise when a ceiling was excluded from the room price or an extra coat is needed because the old colour shows through. Specify the number of coats, preparation such as filling and sanding, who moves furniture and whether paint is included. Clear scope prevents questions and late payment.
